ABOUT ME
Hello, and welcome!
My name is Austin Aguirre and I am a communications and user experience designer. I enjoy creating effective and memorable experiences with an emphasis on quality and taste. My approach respects the big picture while meticulously working through even the finest details. I am a quality-driven designer, motivated by the possibility of setting new standards of effectiveness and excellence through my work.

I have a background working with animals and wildlife in several capacities. I spent 3 years rehabilitating bears in Borneo, a year working on investigations of animal cruelty, and about a year and a half working with primates. During this time, when finances and location permitted, I was working towards a B.S. in biology to further my career.
While progressing through my studies, I began to notice I had a knack for writing. After some further exploration, a passion for writing and document design developed. It wasn't long before I discovered this passion also included UX design and microcopy as well.
Last year, I made the decision to change my major to technical communication, and I couldn't be more thrilled with my choice. I have found the further development of my skills and knowledge through my program at ASU to be an incredibly rewarding process.
So, that's a little bit about me and my journey into the field of technical communication. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.
Thank you for your visit!
